Who we are

K. M. Wade is a small marketing agency run by Dr Kelly Wade. Our website address is: https://kmwade.com, and throughout this privacy policy, it’s referred to as ‘the site’ or ‘the website’.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, so we the comments can be published on our site. We also collect the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string. We collect this information, so we can more easily detect and eliminate spam.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

As such, we have done our best to build a website that doesn’t rely on cookies. However, there are some instances when we have been unable to find an alternative solution. Who we share your data with

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

If you sign up for our mailing list, we’ll keep your data in our email marketing platform until you unsubscribe.

If you register on our website, we also store the personal information you provide in your user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their own personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, have signed up for our mailing list, have purchased something from us, or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. If you ask us to delete all your data, note, we will need to keep sufficient data to contact you about any existing orders you might have. When your order is complete, we will delete your data. And if you ask us not to contact you, again, we’ll still need to contact you if we need to discuss any existing orders you’ve placed with us. We won’t contact you for any other purpose.
