We collect information in order to provide a better Service to all of our users. We collect information in the following ways:
- Information you give us. When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. We also collect such information if you sign up for an account with us, whether or not you make a purchase.
- Information we get from your use of our services. We collect information about the services you use as well as information about how you use those services. This information may include:
- Device information – such as your browser and operating system
- Log information – such as details of how you used our service (e.g. your search queries, the pages of our website that you visit) and your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address (an IP address is the electronic address assigned to a computer that is connected to the internet)
- Cookies and similar technologies (see below for further details)
Cookies and similar technologies
We may collect some of your personal information through the use of “cookies” (a cookie is a small file containing a unique identification number) or similar technologies. When you use this website both first and third party cookies are implemented. We use such technologies to:
- enable you to register or sign in to our website
- keep track of products or services that you view, remember the products you add to our shopping cart and measure traffic and transaction patterns so we can improve our Service
- remember whether you accepted or declined cookies when prompted
Some of these cookies are essential to providing you with our Service (cookies that enable you to log in to our website for example). Some cookies improve our Service (cookies that reduce the time it takes for images to load on our website for instance) or enable us to improve our Service (cookies that enable us to determine which blog content is most popular so that we can provide more of that type of content for instance).
If you elect not to receive some cookies, this may reduce the quality of the Service we provide to you. For some cookies, however, electing not to receive them will prevent you from being able to use our Service at all.
If you do not want your computer to receive cookies, you can enable settings in your browser that will prevent your computer from accepting them, however, you will not be able to log in to our website if you do so.
You may also delete cookies from your computer at any time via a browser or other software program.
Some organisations that generate cookies provide an option for you to install an ‘opt-out’ cookie that prevents the organisation from installing any tracking or data collection cookies on your device. Should you choose to install one or more such opt-out cookies, you may not be able to use all aspects of this website.
Google Analytics cookies
For your privacy, this website does not use Google Analytics.
Twitter analytics tools
From time to time, this website may use Twitter’s analytics capabilities. Should you wish to opt out of this without opting out of all cookies, please follow Twitter’s ‘privacy controls’ guidelines.
This website uses Jetpack, which is a plug-in that provides additional features to the operator of a website based on WordPress. Jetpack gives us an overview of the visitors to this website and helps to speed up the loading of images on this website. In addition, security features are integrated into Jetpack, so a Jetpack-using site is better protected against brute-force attacks.
We have also connected our e-commerce shop to MailChimp, which enables us to enhance our Service (for instance by recommending products you might be interested in). MailChimp cookies are required to enable this and you can read about how MailChimp cookies operate and how to opt out of them by visiting MailChimp’s Cookie Statement.
Components of a number of social media platforms are integrated on this website. This enables you to more easily share our information on social media.
If you are logged into a social media account and you visit a page on this website that has a component from that social media platform integrated into it, that social media platform can detect which pages of this website you have visited and store that information. If you click on a social media button that is integrated into this website (such as a ‘like’ or ‘share’ button) or if you submit a comment, then that social media platform can match that action with your social media account and store that personal data.
We do not collect, store or use this personal information.
This website uses the video chat service of PATHADVICE International GmbH, Schidlachstraße 7, 6020 Innsbruck/Austria (hereinafter referred to as “PATHADVICE”) on this website. It enables simple, direct online communication between us and you. When operating PATHADVICE, the following data is processed: IP address, device used, browser language, browser type/version, page URL, geographical location, date and time of access, referrer URL, duration of access. After the termination of the customer communication, the data is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for the specified processing purposes. The maximum storage period is 3 years.

If you change your mind after you opt-in, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you and/or for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at anytime, by contacting us at email@example.com or by clicking on the unsubscribe link in any email and then following the subsequent directions.

For instance, we use third party service providers to print and ship our books and thus in order for us to provide you with a book that you have ordered, we must provide your name and shipping address to a third party printer.
However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, as well as book manufacturers, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.
For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.
In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.
As an example, if you are located in Australia and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.
When you click on links on our website, they may direct you away from our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.
